The chefs have also been sharing the secrets of their much-loved dishes online. So, if after 12 weeks your craving for La Gran Carbonara is still stronger than ever, you’re in luck! See how well you fare at recreating the decadent dishes at home with the official recipes below.
La Gran Carbonara
Good day? Pasta. Bad day? Pasta! You only need to scroll through Instagram to see why this is Circolo's most popular dish on the menu. Creamy, cheesy sauce mixed with slightly salted spaghetti and studded with crispy slices of guanciale (entire wheel of cheese optional). The best part? This showstopper takes just 20 minutes to prep and 15 minutes to cook, making it the perfect dinner party delight.
The Incredible Lemon Pie
When it comes to desserts, it's a 'go big or go home' situation, and The Incredible Lemon Pie is exactly what it says on the tin- incredible. The gloriously OTT treat nails every aspect, from the buttery base, tangy lemon filling and the towering meringue topping. Slightly trickier to take on than La Gran Carbonara but, remember, practice makes perfect Once you've had a slice of this marvelous meringue pie you'll definitely want to try again. And again. And again!
Ravioli Piacentini
Ready to try your hand at crafting your own Ravioli pasta? With plenty more extra time on our hands during lockdown, there's no time like the present when it comes to learning a new skill. Plus, making pasta from scratch is a little like riding a bike, once you've mastered the basics, the only way is up! This recipe calls for more cheesy goodness in the form of ricotta and parmesan, making it the ideal comfort food.
Rum Baba
Rum Baba, or as they're officially known at Big Mamma HQ, 'Eat Me Baba One More Time' because you will not be able to stop at eating just one! They're classic French desserts, little in size but big in taste and scientifically proven to create instant happiness. The best part about these babies is that you can add as little or as much rum as you like. Neapolitans use very little, Parisians prefer theirs more boozy, but what do Londoners like? Let us know!
